These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of:

• the Join HopeWorld form

• the Global Stories submission system

• Year 1 activities

• the Community Toolkits

• email onboarding

• the MAGGIE app (mobile and web app versions)

• any future HopeWorld tools or apps

By using any part of the HopeWorld ecosystem, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, please do not use the services.

HopeWorld is a global learning commons.

MAGGIE is an emotional companion app that supports reflection and emotional literacy.

Both are designed to be simple, human, and accessible.

1. What HopeWorld Is (and Isn’t)

HopeWorld is a community‑driven learning ecosystem that helps people reconnect with their place, their communities, and the living world.

HopeWorld is not:

• a therapy service

• a medical service

• a crisis service

• a professional coaching program

• a commercial product

HopeWorld provides educational and reflective experiences, not clinical or diagnostic ones.

2. What MAGGIE Is (and Isn’t)

MAGGIE is a simple emotional companion app that offers:

• daily check‑ins

• journaling

• AI‑generated reflections

MAGGIE is not:

• a therapist

• a doctor

• a crisis tool

• a mental health professional

• a substitute for professional care

MAGGIE’s reflections are generated by AI and may not always be accurate.

They are intended for personal insight, not medical or therapeutic advice.

If you are in crisis or need immediate help, contact local emergency services or a trusted person.

3. Eligibility

To use MAGGIE, you must be at least 13 years old or the minimum age required by your local laws.

HopeWorld’s website and activities are accessible to all ages, but minors should participate with guidance from a parent, guardian, or educator.

4. Your Responsibilities

When using HopeWorld or MAGGIE, you agree to:

• provide accurate information when joining

• use the services respectfully

• not misuse or disrupt the platform

• not upload harmful, illegal, or abusive content

• not attempt to access systems you are not authorized to use

You are responsible for your own actions and for keeping your device secure.

5. Story Submissions

When you submit a story, photo, drawing, map, or reflection through the “Submit Your Story” form, you choose how it may be used:

• Share publicly

• Share anonymously

• Keep private

By submitting content, you grant HopeWorld permission to display, share, or archive it according to the option you selected.

You retain ownership of your content.

You agree that any content you submit:

• is your own

• does not violate the rights of others

• does not contain harmful or illegal material

HopeWorld may remove content that violates these Terms.

6. Intellectual Property

All HopeWorld materials — including text, graphics, activities, toolkits, and design — are owned by HopeWorld or used with permission.

You may use HopeWorld materials for personal, educational, or community purposes.

You may not:

• sell HopeWorld materials

• misrepresent them as your own

• use them for commercial purposes without permission

MAGGIE’s software, design, and AI systems are also protected.

7. AI‑Generated Reflections

MAGGIE uses AI to generate simple reflections based on your entries.

You understand and agree that:

• AI responses may be imperfect

• reflections are for insight, not advice

• you are responsible for your own decisions

• MAGGIE does not provide medical, legal, or professional guidance

HopeWorld is not liable for actions taken based on AI‑generated content.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy matters.

• MAGGIE is not liable for decisions you make based on AI reflections

You may stop using HopeWorld or uninstall MAGGIE at any time.
